Created in the 1920s, this rare antique Lenormand deck is part of a vibrant folk tradition of unusual oracle decks from the early 20th century. The minimalist Egyptian-style illustrations were inspired by the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922.
Dr. Jayne’s was a family owned patent medicine company that existed from 1830 to around 1940. To accompany and promote their medicines, they created all kinds of useful things - almanacs, recipe books, a dream & Fortune telling book, and this deck.
